La Piedra del Indio
Waterfalls Valley.

Such a wonderful place to stop between monteverde and La fortuna.
The owners are super friendly and caring. They go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of.
The waterfall and ancestral rock is on their private property and offer to give you a tour and also drive you down to indigenous rock and waterfalls.
A very private and beautiful waterfalls, many different ones for you to enjoy and appreciate.
On the way back he even stopped the truck to make sure we all saw the colorful toucan on top of a tree.
I would recommend this place 10000x over!!!.

Alejandro is one of the best tour guides ever. I highly recommend this tour. We went to Monteverde and Arenal and thought this was as good if not better for a waterfall hike!

this is a gem!!! Local, family run spot, and deserves more publicity in tourism materials. The waterfall is private, on the land of the family who carefully made and maintains the trails, and runs the tours and restaurant. Alejandro guided us, and is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. The trail down to the waterfalls is one of the better dirt trails we saw in Costa Rica, and is a quick drive from the building where you buy tickets (they also have food, coffee, and beer here). We saw monkeys while finishing the hike too.
We struggled to find info online about a good stopping spot on the la Fortuna - Monteverde drive, and finding this was the highlight of our trip. Don't miss it!!

The hike to the waterfall was beautiful and the waterfall hermoso and refreshing! I went with my dog and he enjoyed it too! The indigenous rock was also a nice surprise.
After, I enjoyed a delicious meal at their restaurant. Pura vida! Thank you for the amazing experience!
